Finally, stable groupware!

After a very long time, I think I have finally settled down on a stable groupware solution. I’ve moved to Kontact and I’m using eGroupware as the backend software.

Now I can access my calendar, notes and contacts from anywhere. The eGroupware web interface itself is pretty sleek, for those times when I have to access data from a public machine and so on.

So far it looks good. There are some minor quirks here and there, but over all I’m quite happy with the setup. KMail’s anti-virum and anti-spam wizard tools are quite funky — and I agree with KMail’s philosophy that spam classification is a specialized task and need not be done by the mail client (as in Thunderbird)

  3. Using GMail to backup emails
  4. Killer calendar
  5. Why isn’t Google killing Ringo and Plaxo?
