Keeping busy this quarter

After failed attempts to enroll into the Guitar class at UCSD Extension, Kiran and I finally decided to make use of the voucher and registered for Spanish instead. The class is fun, and I’ll learn a new language :-) Besides, in a place like San Diego, it helps to know a bit of Spanish (specially if you’re planning a trip to Mexico!)

Other than that, I’m also taking tennis lessons. Its a beginners class, which is good for me, coz I suck at tennis. Its better to start at the very basics and get them right even if it seems a bit trite at times. Our instructor(s) are nice and friendly, and we are only 3 guys in a class of 10 girls :)

But thats not all, I’m also doing a class on ‘core conditioning’—its a fitness class to strengthen the core muscles (everything between your ribs and hips). It felt a bit weird in the first class, but I liked it so much that I’m actually enjoying it now. But its painful at times (literally, I mean!)—they made me stretch muscles I didn’t even know existed!!

A good side-affect of all this is that now my days are long and busy, and I feel more productive. Plus, I now have plenty of reasons to get up and get moving on time in the morning (read ~9 AM)—otherwise usually my mornings would start at 10 and by the time I actually got around to doing anything, it would be almost noon.

It seems to me that I’m more productive when I’m busy and have my hands full.

  1. busy day
  2. another day goes by
  3. busy bee…
  4. Stuff
  5. Time flies
